Connect a channel

min

Configure delivery in the system your team already monitors. The fewer new tools required to read alerts, the more reliably they will be acted on.

Choosing a channel

If you are unsure where to start, use Slack if your team works primarily in Slack, otherwise use email. Add PagerDuty only after you have observed Intello's alert volume for a few days and have decided which severities warrant paging.

  1. Open Settings → Integrations

Locate the Slack card and click Connect.

  2. Approve in Slack

You will be redirected to Slack's OAuth screen. Approve the Intello application for your workspace.

  3. Select a default channel

Use a dedicated channel such as #api-changes or #integrations. We recommend avoiding #general and high-volume operations channels, where alerts are likely to be muted. The channel can be overridden per integration.

To disconnect, click the same card and select Disconnect. Tokens are rotated automatically when you reconnect.

Alert content

Regardless of the destination, each alert includes the severity, the affected dependency and endpoint, a summary of what changed, and a link to the in-app change card. The alert is intended to support triage directly from the channel without requiring a click-through to Intello.
